Function: The Christian Education Director/Minister is responsible for planning,implementing and overseeing the teaching ministry of the Church.

Ministry Profile:

1. Ministry area and target is the entire discipleship.

2. Accountable to the Director of Ministries and the .

3. Spiritual gifts needed to perform task are administration, exhortation, encouragement, teaching,knowledge, and wisdom.

4. Talents that will assist one in this area are training in Christian education, good organiza­tional skills, and being a good communicator.

5. Person should possess a passion for equipping disciples and seeing disciples grow and mature through the study of God's  Word

6. Anticipated time commitments for this task can range from 3-4 hours a week.

Ministry Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the teaching ministry of the Church inclusive of weekly Bible studies, Vacation Bible School week,specialized workshops, and specialized trainings .

2. Establish curriculum in conjunction with the Pastor.

3. Order curriculum and supplies needed for teaching ministry.

4. Recruit and train teachers for all areas of the teaching ministry.

5. Coordinate teaching ministry to comply with the principles of "Simple Church" (examples: group sessions, specialized group needs, etc.).
